The new season of Bert the Conqueror on Travel Channel inspires viewers to connect with their inner child and feel like a kid again by showcasing local competitions and thrill rides. Beginning Sunday, April 3 at 8PM, Bert Kreischer treats viewers to a cross-country expedition chock full of challenges and escapades. Best known as a comedian, Kreischer travels the nation making people laugh, sharing his experiences and enthusiasm, all while discovering the ‘must-try’ activities in the towns he visits.  

During the premiere episode on Travel Channel, Kreischer seeks to conquer some of New England’s top adventures.  In Connecticut, he plunges 115 feet at 60 miles per hour aboard the Boulder Dash, a wooden roller coaster built into the side of a mountain. Next, he twists and turns down a 2,300-foot Alpine Slide in Stowe, Vt. Then, he tops off his tour at the 11th Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship in Newry, Maine, where he tackles a 278-yard muddy obstacle race while carrying his wife on his back.

This season Kreischer treks through New Jersey, Virginia, Hawaii, Florida, Texas, Canada, New Mexico, Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, Cancun, California, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Minnesota to experience the most thrilling local adventures, competitions, and rides found in towns across the nation.  During his tour, Bert competes in the World Shovel Racing Championship in Angel Fire, N.M., tries his hand at throwing heavy poles at Doswell, Va.’s Celtic Meadow Highland Games, swims with sharks, dives off cliffs, tries a unique form of toboggan racing, hurls snowballs in a competitive snowball fight and rides countless stomach-turning roller coasters.
