Vena Cava to Collaborate With Uniqlo
Feb 26th

Vena Cava‘s Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock announced Wednesday at Fashion Group International’s panel on entrepreneurship that they will be collaborating with Uniqlo. It’s a juicy little tidbit of news that we nearly missed because the designers mentioned it so offhandedly (luckily Fashion etc., didn’t and reminded us).
Collaborating with brands is nothing new for Vena Cava. They’ve partnered in the past with Gap, Aqua for Bloomingdale’s and Converse.
The Gap collab was a struggle, Sophie said, because “Vena Cava is not a khaki brand”, and she and Lisa are “pretty far from preppy.” The design duo went on to weigh out the pros and cons of doing collaborations–one the one hand, lower-priced collaborations with big brands are a great way to reach the mass market and a new audience, and bottom line, make money, but they would never want work on a collaboration that wasn’t true to their brand.
Sophie acknowledged how fortunate she and Lisa feel to be emerging designers at a time when collaborations are so popular, and how helpful the collaborations they’ve done in the past have been in developing the Vena Cava brand. A collaboration with Uniqlo should help tremendously. We can’t wait to buy it.
Mom Lets 14-Year-Old Daughter Get Semi-Permanent Makeup Tattoos
Aug 27th
A British mother has sparked controversy after admitting that she has given consent for her 14-year-old daughter to have semi-permanent makeup tattooed onto her face, Closer Magazine reports.Pause for jaw drop.Teenager Sophie Watson — a wannabe singer and actress with 22 beauty pageant titles under her belt — boasts inked-on eyeliner, lip liner, eyebrows, and even a fake beauty mark, according to the UK magazine. But mother Joy reportedly has no regrets about her decision to authorize the seven-hour, Pounds 1,200 (about $1,861) procedure, which requires parental consent for youths under 18.Calling the tattoos the “obvious next step,” Joy told Closer, “I wasn’t overly worried and, once she’s got an idea in her head, there’s no stopping her.”Um, being grounded usually did the trick with us.”The whole thing took nearly seven hours and the eyeliner was the worst part,” Sophie told the magazine.”I started crying because the thought of a needle being that close to my eye freaked me out.”The teen also reportedly dyes her red hair dark brown, but her mother is cracking down on her plan to get laser treatments to fade her freckles — because of course that would be radical.Let’s just hope these two don’t hear about the “Human Barbie” and her Botox-using teen!Meanwhile, get tips on cleaning up your makeup routine (without resorting to tattoo removal).Filed under: Beauty, News, Makeup,
Sophie Monk
Aug 27th

For some reason not known to us, Sophie Monk is adored by most men. Sure, we can agree that her ass is bangable – but the Muppet-esque lips on her face are really making us uncomfortable. Like, to the point of thinking that maybe she isn’t entirely human. Or maybe not entirely female.
So – feast your eyes on this hot shemale. She/He may not know how to properly take care of herself/himself and appears malnourished in every way, shape and form… but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good lay!
A Lot Better – Sophie Monk in a Bikini
Aug 27th
To ease myself back into things, I figured I’d start out with a bikini post, so I hope nobody minds. It’s basically the equivalent of walking into work and all your boss wants you to do is point at something blue. Which would suck if you’re color blind, but nobody likes equal opportunity hires anyway. Amirite? I’m right. Moving on…
