Katy Perry Still Behind Michael Jackson On Hot 100 Pop Chart

Katy Perry has missed out on making history at the top of America’s Hot 100 pop chart after landing another week at number two with her hit “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F).” The star made her mark on the Billboard Pop Songs Chart when she became the first artist to reach the top spot with five singles from the same album earlier this week, but she has been unable to match that success on the mainstream countdown, which will be released on Thursday. Had she toppled LMFAO’s “Party Rock” Anthem, Perry would have been one of only two artists to land five number ones from one album. The only star to land the feat remains Michael Jackson with 1987′s Bad. Instead, LMFAO score a fifth week at number one. Meanwhile, Britney Spears returns to the top 10 at nine with Go – her third hit from the album “Femme Fatale” and 12th top 10 on the Hot 100. The new chart’s highest debut belongs to rapper Kreayshawn, who enters at 82 with “Gucci Gucci.”

Katy Perry: ‘I Don’t Google Myself Any More’

Pop star Katy Perry made a New Year resolution to quit searching for stories about herself on the internet after she read about husband Russell Brand’s planned marriage proposal before he’d popped the question. The I Kissed a Girl hit-maker revealed last year that funnyman Brand’s proposal in 2009 came as no surprise as she’d received a Google alert about it weeks before.
She made a vow at the start of this year to stop reading about herself online – and she’s adamant the decision has made her life “much better”. Perry tells The Sunday Times Magazine, “I’m four months Google-free. I don’t Google myself any more. That was my New Year’s resolution. I don’t read papers. I don’t even look at reviews. I have a good team around me so if anything pops up that’s really good or bad I’ll know about it. Generally I feel much better being able to live my life like a normal person and not read yesterday’s news.” The decision means the Perry household now has little use for an internet connection – she revealed last year that Brand had already stopped Googling himself.
Katy Perry Wears A Naked Woman On Her Dress

Katy Perry showed up to the 2011 Logie Awards in Melbourne, Australia, yesterday wearing an unusual green dress. An image on her dress shows the backside of a naked woman, resembling the shape of a violin. Katy loves to think outside the box when it comes to fashion.
On Friday the pop star, who is married to British actor Russell Brand, tweeted a picture of her royal family-inspired manicure. She wrote, “In honor of the Royal Wedding, I present you… My royal NAILS! CONGRATS!”
